"I was So Much Younger then" is a real treasure for the Dylanlovers of Bobs early music and has historical value. This incredible four CD volume examines the earliest known recording of an adolescent Robert Zimmerman, and then hopscotchs its way through some of the earliest, and least known Dylan recordings. The sound quality is sometimes poor and sometimes better. But: these recordings represent true milestones in the life of Bob Dylan, and in the history of music. So if you want to know how it all started then you need to listen to this.

This accoustic concert in the Free Trade Hall Manchester (UK 7 may 1965) is amongst the best accoustic concerts given by Bob Dylan. The accoustic folksinger on his prime, before going electric, with an enthusiastic not bo-ing crowd. A great near perfect soundboard recording, which does have unique qualities for the sixties. A setlist which has many songs among them that became classic famous Dylan songs. Think at the Times, Gates of Eden, It's Alright Ma , Mr. Tambourine Man , Don't Think Twice , the Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll and many more. Recomended by DylanNL.
New Volume in the SelfPortrait Revisited compilation now Complete
Sunday, 24 January 2010 09:52
Charlespoet and StewART made a new volume in the series of Selfportrait Revisited cds: Volume 7 # cd13 and cd #14. They started creating Selfportrait Revisited in 2005. They worked on the idea of how good it could be for the present-day Dylan to do a new album based around the themes of Self Portrait's mix of traditional & other covers with some unreleased live tracks. Very much recomended by DylanNL , due to the orginal choises of tracks, the nice artwork and mostly good soundquality.

The year 1986 is a special tour-year as Bob Dylan was traveling round the world with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The concerts were powerful and were special because of the rock and roll covers that were performed and the tight connection between Dylan and the Heartbreakers. DylanNL wishes to guide your attention to the boot Duelling Banjos (if you don't know it already). Westwood One Superstars In Concert Radio released to air a compilation of songs that are edited from the two shows at the Entertainment Centre, Sydney, Australia; February 24-25.
