Bob Dylan will play in the Whitehouse for president Obama. Some 47 years after Dylan joined the March on Washington with the Civil Right Movements. Martin Luther King did there his 'I have a dream speech' . Bob Dylan played together with Joan Baez. Baez is now set to join him, along with Smokey Robinson, John Mellencamp, the Blind Boys of Alabama and others at another Civil Rights Event in the Nation’s Capital, this being a White House-hosted Event.

This event is a Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement. As the title conveys, the concert is the first installment in the White House’s 2010 Music Series, and will take place starting at 5:15 p.m. ET on February 10th in the East Room. Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah will be holding down the emcee duties. The concert will be streamed live on whitehouse.gov and televised on February 11th at 8:00 p.m. ET on public broadcasting stations in the USA nationwide.
