
The 2011 Dylan Cover Band competition on Dylanradio.com is now open. This is the 3rd annual event and dylanradio want to 'make this third year even better!'
Fans who have cover material or know people who have are encouraged to join in and get their songs uploaded by the deadline date, October 1st.
Dylan Fans, who serve as moderators on various sites or upload blogs (one even saved Tom Waits from arrest!) will be judging the competition:

Bruce Slutsky was born in New York City in 1949. He’s been since Like A Rolling Stone was a hit in 1965. Check out Bruce’s blog at bruceslutsky.com where you can search for “Bob Dylan” and you’ll find tons of article he’s written on the subject.
Karen Veith is a long-time Dylan fan and a well-known collector of Dylan bootlegs (over 1100 shows). For past several years, Karen’s been a moderator of the Never Ending Pool Dylan set-list game where you may know her better as “LaughsLikeTheFlowers.”
The entrance costs $8 to cover maintenance costs, however, you will then receive access to a secret area of the website. Recordings must be in MP3 and no lower than 128 kpbs. You may only upload one song.
