The first 2009 show causes mixed feelings in me.
It has many good songs but a number of weak ones too.
Bob's voice was in good shape as he started with a quick and vivid "Most Likely You Go Your Way" - a propriate opener to an new Dylan-Live-Year and the first higlight of the show. The following "Senor" is on the same level. "I Believe in You", one of his religious songs, is great too. And of course there is the live debute of "Billy" - a delight for the collector and a moving, heartwarming outrageous performance too.
As mentioned above there is also a number of not so good songs, the worst of them is the last one, "Forever Young". The arrangement is a little like the recent one of "Blowin In The Wind", so it could have been an anthemic finale. But listen to Dylan's minimalistic way to play his circus-organ, absolutely amateurish.
All in all: an intresting setlist, a historic live-debut, fine sound quality but not a real highlight.

Bob usually has a few surprises up his sleeve, but to include "Billy" in the first concert of this Euro tour was something else.

Keep it up Bob.
